Thermotec air source heat pumps: range overview and what to expect

The Thermotec Home series is a range of domestic air-source heat pumps designed and supported for the UK market. Five models cover outputs from 5 kW to 16 kW.
Why Thermotec?
Thermotec has supplied heat pump technology for UK applications for over a decade. The Home series applies that experience to domestic heating, with inverter-driven compressors, cold-climate operation down to -20 °C, and full MCS product certification so every unit qualifies for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
The range
- Thermotec Home 5 (5 kW) — For well-insulated flats and 1–2 bed homes
- Thermotec Home 7 (7 kW) — The most popular choice for 2–3 bed semis
- Thermotec Home 10 (10 kW) — For 3–4 bed semis and smaller detached homes
- Thermotec Home 13 (13 kW) — For larger 4–5 bed detached homes
- Thermotec Home 16 (16 kW) — For large or older properties with higher heat demand
What to expect from installation
A typical installation takes 1–2 days. Your MCS-certified installer will carry out a full heat loss survey first to confirm the correct model for your home. All Thermotec units are eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
